Chatsworth, Calif. – Nov. 29, 2007 – Pentadyne Power Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using advanced composite flywheel technology, announced today that it has received an order for 24 Pentadyne-made flywheels to be deployed at a major technology research and development center in Omaha, Nebraska.

The two dozen Liebert FS systems from Emerson Network Power, which can provide more than 4.5 megawatts of backup power, will be paralleled with six, 750-kVA Liebert 610 UPS systems. Emerson Network Power is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of 3-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. It markets the Pentadyne flywheel as the Liebert FS.

“With 24 Liebert FS units, this will be the one site that has the most Pentadyne-made flywheels operating together,” said Pentadyne President & CEO Mark McGough.

Flywheel energy storage systems are used as a supplement to increase the reliability of conventional UPS lead-acid battery banks, or to entirely eliminate them and their associated recurring costs, frequent maintenance issues, poor reliability and environmental impact.

“This was yet another win where the superior product offerings of Pentadyne and Liebert beat out those of our primary competitor in the flywheel-UPS marketplace,” said Johnny Gonzales, Pentadyne’s Vice President of Sales & Service. “The customer recognized the value of our product’s vastly lower maintenance needs as well as the energy savings of our flywheel system on a double-conversion UPS versus the flywheel system of our primary competitor. In this case, that energy efficiency difference amounts to nearly 400 megawatt-hours per year. That equates to tens of thousands of dollars in annual utility bill savings and the mitigation of more than half a million pounds of carbon dioxide every year, year after year.”

Exhibiting, presenting at trade show today
The Pentadyne-made Liebert FS flywheel is on display at the national Emerson Network Power AdaptiveXchange show currently in Baltimore. Pentadyne presented on flywheel technology earlier today at the event and is scheduled to repeat the presentation tomorrow as part of the AdaptiveXchange TechUniversity series of continuing education lectures.

About Pentadyne Power Corporation

Gonzales is a 4-year veteran of Pentadyne and “a key person responsible for bookings growth at the company,” McGough said. Chatsworth, Calif. – Aug 23, 2007 – Pentadyne Power Corporation ( www.pentadyne.com ) – the world's leading commercial manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using advanced composite flywheel technology – announced that its system is in use with an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system at California 's Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport .

Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport , airport code SJC, serves the Silicon Valley and Greater San Francisco Bay Area. The airport moves about 30,000 passengers per day, nearly 11 million per year.

UPS systems that protect critical equipment from power interruptions commonly use dozens of hazardous lead-acid batteries. These store the energy needed to feed protected loads in the event of utility power fluctuations or complete outages. Lead-acid batteries, however, are commonly acknowledged as the weakest link in any continuous power quality system.

Pentadyne systems are far more reliable than the lead-acid batteries commonly used with UPSs. In most installations, Pentadyne systems are deployed instead of problematic UPS battery banks to ride-through brief power disturbances or a complete outage. In the latter case, the Pentadyne system “holds up” the DC bus of the UPS until a backup generator starts and can accept a gradual hand-off of the UPS-protected loads.

At San José International Airport , however, the Pentadyne system is operating in parallel with a redundant set of UPS batteries. In this configuration, the Pentadyne system is the first line of defense against all power issues, isolating the batteries from any such events. The only time the batteries would ever be used is in the unlikely event of a problem with the Pentadyne system or the backup generator.

“ Battery banks are notoriously problematic in terms of reliability, temperature control and maintenance needs,” said Frank DeLattre , Pentadyne's Senior Vice President of Sales & Service. “The Pentadyne system at San José International essentially does all the work that a battery bank is supposed to do, but does so with far greater reliability, far lower operating cost, much higher uptime availability and near-zero maintenance needs. ”

Those were the primary re asons th at the San José International Airport chose to use the Pentadyne flywheel solution over other alternatives.

Pentadyne President & CEO Mark McGough said “ Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport brought their Pentadyne system online right after the 4 th of July . After all the recent news of power interruptions at other California airports, I know that I and all the employees here at Pentadyne feel a lot more secure about our travel plans in and out of the Greater Bay Area.”

Chatsworth, Calif. - Aug 6, 2007 - Pentadyne Power Corporation (www.pentadyne.com) - the world's leading commercial manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using advanced composite flywheel technology - announced today that one of its flywheels is now part of the power protection system for KDEN's digital television transmission facility near Denver.

The Pentadyne system is operating as the sole source of energy storage for the transmission site's uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system. UPS systems commonly use dozens of hazardous lead-acid batteries to store the energy needed to feed protected loads in the event of utility power fluctuations or complete outages. Lead-acid batteries, however, are commonly acknowledged as the weakest link in any continuous power quality system.

"Battery banks are notoriously problematic in terms of reliability, temperature control and maintenance needs," said Frank DeLattre, Pentadyne's Senior Vice President of Sales & Service. "This is particularly an issue at remote broadcast sites. Regulating battery temperature is a problem and traveling to remote locations every month to check, maintain or replace batteries is an expensive waste of time and resources."

Those were the primary re asons th at Dirk Freeman, President of Blair Media Inc. -- which develops and manages digital broadcast properties - chose a Pentadyne flywheel and a 225-kVA Toshiba G8000 UPS system to ensure con tinuous operation of the DCX Paragon MSDC-IOT at KDEN's multi-million-dollar digital transmission site.

"Over the years, we've been made painfully aware of the short-comings of UPS batteries. That's why we chose to eliminate those problems and their costs with this battery-free solution that began operating two weeks ago," Freeman said. "There are other flywheels and other UPSs, but the Pentadyne and Toshiba systems offer the best performance and they back them up with warranties that are years longer than any other on the market."

The Houston-based UPS division of Toshiba International Corporation sells the Pentadyne flywheel with their G8000 UPS line to broadcasters as well as to industrial businesses and to medical equipment installations requiring reliable, uninterrupted, high-quality power.

"The Toshiba G8000 UPS and Pentadyne flywheel cost a bit more than lowest-priced conventional options," said Greg Mack, Business Unit Manager for Toshiba's line of UPS systems. "But the rock-solid performance of these two products may provide KDEN return on investment in the next couple years. And they will continue to save KDEN money while providing higher reliability service for many years thereafter."

Pentadyne President & CEO Mark McGough noted that "Pentadyne flywheel systems are currently used by several other television stations from coast to coast, but this is the first digital transmission site. We expect it will be joined by many other such Toshiba/Pentadyne battery-free UPS installations as the nation goes to all digital television broadcasting in early 2009."

Exhibiting at trade show this week
Pentadyne and Toshiba are showing the flywheel and UPS equipment in booth #321 at the August 9 Texas Association of Broadcasters/Society of Broadcast Engineers Annual Convention & Trade Show in Austin: www.tab.org/convention-and-trade-show.

Chatsworth , Calif. - July 9, 2007 - Pentadyne Power Corporation - the world's leading commercial manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using advanced composite flywheel technology - announced today at a national healthcare engineering trade show that Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, has ordered an additional six Pentadyne-made flywheels following two previous orders totaling seven flywheels.

The order announcement was made by Pentadyne's Senior Vice President of Sales & Service, Frank DeLattre, during the opening day today of the national American Society for Healthcare Engineering trade show being held at the New Orleans Convention Center in Louisiana.

Last year, Sparrow Hospital, which has more than 500 beds, ordered six Pentadyne-made flywheel systems to use with a 1000-kVA UPS protecting the hospital's six labs for state-of-the-art cardiac and neurological catheterization procedures.

"The flywheels provide highly reliable energy storage to ensure continuous quality power delivery to the cath labs in the event of a brief power disturbance or a full power outage. In the latter case, the flywheels deliver uninterrupted energy until the hospital's four 2-megawatt generators can come online and gradually take over the supply of power to all hospital loads," DeLattre said.

"Patient-first, that's what we are all about here," said Jon Harris, who heads up electrical services at Sparrow Hospital . "With cardiac and neurological catheterization, there's no room for a power glitch. That's certainly what everyone would want if they were on that table, and that's what we deliver.

"When we had the opportunity to design a new hospital-wide power system, we went above and beyond what we are required to do by law," Harris added. "Batteries are the biggest point of failure in any UPS system. We insisted on having the best backup equipment available, and that's why we chose Pentadyne-made flywheels as a part of that."

In May of 2007, the hospital ordered one additional unit to mate with a 130-kVA UPS system protecting a number of computer servers at the hospital. The new six-unit order will be used with three 300-kVA UPSs that will protect a large-scale data center in the hospital's west wing.

"We're proud that Sparrow Hospital has joined an expanding list of repeat customers for our clean energy storage product," said Pentadyne CEO Mark McGough. "Customer satisfaction and repeat sales like this have been one of several keys to our rapidly growing order backlog."

Exhibiting at trade show today

Pentadyne is showing its flywheel system today and tomorrow in booth #924 at the national ASHE Annual Conference and Technical Exhibition in New Orleans.

Chatsworth , Calif. - June 4, 2007 - Pentadyne Power Corporation ( www.pentadyne.com ), the world's leading commercial manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using advanced composite flywheel technology, today announced that Buildings magazine ( www.buildings.com ) has selected the company's VSS + DC system as a 2007 Editors' Choice Top Product Pick .

Buildings is a 100-year old publication read by more than 72,000 commercial building owners and professional facilities managers. Its readers are responsible for nearly 4.5 million commercial and institutional buildings nationwide.

Throughout the year, Buildings' editorial board maintains a database of innovative and efficient products to help its readers in their responsibilities for building development, construction, modernization, management and operations. The editors reviewed thousands of products and picked the top 100 they felt were worthy of recognition above all others.

Criteria for selection includes aesthetics, ease of use, durability/life-cycle, efficiency, universal appeal and sustainable/green aspects, among others.

"As the nation's leading publication for building management professionals, Buildings magazine particularly focuses on energy efficient and environmentally beneficial products," said Pentadyne CEO Mark McGough. "Our flywheel systems use only 1/10 th the power needed by competing products. Over the course of their 20-year design life, each Pentadyne system deployed instead of UPS lead-acid batteries prevents battery greenhouse gas emissions and the dumping of more than 15,000 pounds of lead and hundreds of gallons of sulfuric acid."

The list of products will be published in the magazine's June 2007 issue due out tomorrow.

"We are pleased to include the Pentadyne VSS + DC system as a Top Product Pick as a solution to improve the energy efficiency and reliability of continuous mission-critical IT and process operations at our readers' facilities," said Buildings Editorial Director Linda Monroe.

Exhibiting at upcoming trade shows
Pentadyne has a tabletop exhibit at the 7x24 Exchange Conference (www.7x24exchange.org/spring07 ) in Boca Raton , Florida , running today through Wednesday. At next week's Seattle AdaptiveXchange ( www.campbell-co.com/show ), a Pentadyne-made Liebert FS flywheel system will be on display June 11-13, and there will be presentations on the attributes of flywheel energy storage during the mornings of June 12 and 13.

--Part of What's Believed to Be the World's Largest Flywheel Deployment Program--

Chatsworth , Calif. - May 14, 2007 - Pentadyne Power Corporation ( www.pentadyne.com ), the world's leading commercial manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using advanced composite flywheel technology, today announced it has received a follow-on order worth $4.5 million from Beaver Aerospace & Defense for an additional 100 Pentadyne VSS + DC systems with DX-A2 rating (certified for national defense use).

This latest follow-on order from Beaver Aerospace is part of a procurement contract with Pentadyne to be the exclusive supplier of more than 500 clean energy storage systems that will be deployed in homeland security military defense applications during the next few years. This new order amounts to nearly double that of all previous Beaver Aerospace orders for Pentadyne flywheel systems.

"I'm proud Pentadyne was selected to be the exclusive supplier of flywheel-based clean energy systems for energy recycling at vital national defense facilities," said Pentadyne President & CEO Mark McGough. "The superior performance and reliability of our VSS + DC clean energy storage flywheel systems over competing products was the overriding factor in Pentadyne being designated as the sole supplier in what we believe is the world's largest flywheel energy storage deployment program."

Beaver Aerospace Program Manager Jim Diroff said, "We've installed quite a few of these so far, installing them is practically plug-and-play. They've reliably discharged and rapidly recharged flawlessly every time we've needed them."

The Pentadyne VSS + DC stores energy kinetically instead of chemically, delivering stable, reliable DC voltage for energy recycling and power continuity applications. In these Department of Defense energy recycling applications, the flywheel system periodically absorbs regenerative energy and stores it until it is later reused. This is similar to the way hybrid vehicles capture deceleration energy and store it in chemical batteries, later releasing that energy to aid acceleration and minimize fuel consumption.

About Pentadyne Power Corporation
An ISO-9001-certified company, Los Angeles-based Pentadyne designs, manufactures and markets clean energy storage systems using a high-strength carbon-fiber-composite flywheel cylinder. Combined with uninterruptible power supply systems, Pentadyne products ensure power quality and continuity for mission-critical operations at commercial, industrial, healthcare and military facilities. Award-winning Pentadyne flywheel systems provide an economic, long-lasting, low maintenance, compact and environmentally responsible back-up power solution without any of the hazardous chemicals, fire risks or other safety concerns common to UPS batteries. Pentadyne systems are sold by the world's leading UPS manufacturers.

About Beaver Aerospace & Defense, Inc.
Beaver Aerospace & Defense ( www.beaver-online.com ), a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries, provides ballscrew and actuator products for a variety of commercial and military aircraft as well as missiles.
Chatsworth , Calif. - April 16, 2007 - Pentadyne Power Corporation ( www.pentadyne.com ), the world's leading commercial manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using advanced composite flywheel technology, announced that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding agreement (MOU) with Toshiba International Corporation (TIC, www.toshiba.com/ind ) for Toshiba to sell Pentadyne's flywheel in medical and broadcasting UPS applications.

The Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system division of Toshiba International Corporation - headquartered in Houston, Texas - is offering the Pentadyne VSS + DC energy storage system with Toshiba's G8000 series of UPSs as a battery-free reliable power solution primarily for in-patient treatment/diagnostic equipment and for television broadcast facilities in North, Central and South America.

"Our current OEM distributor focuses on the data center and IT sectors, while Toshiba International Corporation will focus on applications in the patient care, broadcasting and industrial markets," said Frank DeLattre, Senior Vice President of Sales & Service at Pentadyne. "Toshiba targets those specific vertical markets with an advanced UPS system that's exceptionally well suited to those applications. Adding the Pentadyne VSS + DC flywheel as a clean energy storage option to their product portfolio offers a wealth of benefits to these customer segments where we have a great fit, but limited reach to date. The MOU enables Toshiba International Corporation to sell our product into underserved markets without creating channel conflicts in the data center/IT applications where our other partner is thriving."

Pentadyne's flywheel energy storage system can be used as a supplement to increase the reliability of conventional UPS lead-acid battery arrays, or can be used to eliminate the cost, maintenance and less predictable reliability burdens common to lead-acid batteries.

"Toshiba is a growing presence in the hospital and broadcast arenas, offering a premium UPS solution," said Pentadyne CEO Mark McGough. "Partnering with such a world-renowned brand is part of our strategy to build order volume and margin without impacting the sales growth we're seeing from our existing distribution partners. It's a win-win situation for all parties."

Greg Mack, Business Unit Manager of Toshiba International Corporation's UPS division, said, "Patient care and broadcasting applications are very dynamic and demanding loads. With its unity output power factor and IGBT technology, our state of the art G8000 UPS is designed to operate effectively, efficiently and reliably in those challenging circumstances. The Pentadyne flywheel is a perfect energy storage solution for the demanding inrush load characteristics we see in these environments and also a green solution.

"Our first installation of the G8000 with a Pentadyne flywheel was commissioned a few months ago at the KTUD television station in Las Vegas , and has been running flawlessly," Mack said. "We're looking forward to repeating this success many times over."

Exhibiting at upcoming trade shows

Toshiba International and Pentadyne are jointly exhibiting their UPS and flywheel products in booth SL3410 at today's National Association of Broadcasters trade show in Las Vegas , running through April 19. Tours of KTUD-VegasTV are planned for select attendees to view the Toshiba G8000 UPS and Pentadyne VSS+DC in operation. The companies have similar exhibit plans at upcoming trade shows for the American Society of Hospital Engineers in New Orleans , the Texas Association of Broadcasters in Austin and the Healthcare Facilities Symposium in Chicago .

Now in its seventh year, the EC&M Product of the Year competition was established to honor excellence in new product development for the electrical industry and recognize inventive products that allow electrical design professionals and others to accomplish their goals more efficiently and effectively. Later this month, readers of EC&M will begin voting online for a single product of the year among the winners of each category.

The Pentadyne flywheel clean energy system is used to supplement or replace lead-acid battery arrays used with uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems ranging from 50 kVA to several thousand kVA. Chemical battery plants require extensive, costly and lengthy permitting, testing and monitoring due to corrosive materials, fire dangers, hazardous fluids and explosive gas emissions. These issues are eliminated when a Pentadyne VSS+ DC flywheel is used instead of lead-acid batteries.

Batteries are commonly acknowledged as the weakest reliability link in a UPS system, demanding frequent and costly maintenance and replacement. The Pentadyne flywheel system is a more reliable method of energy storage that is far less costly to operate than a 5-minute string of valve-regulated lead-acid batteries.

Speaking, exhibiting at upcoming trade shows

Frank DeLattre, Pentadyne Senior Vice President of Sales & Service, will be presenting tomorrow at 11 a.m. as part of a panel on emergency response systems and planning at the Building Automation trade show ( www.bnpevents.com/ES/BAC ) in Baltimore . At the AFCOM Data Center World Conference ( www.datacenterworld.com ) in Las Vegas March 27 and 28, Emerson Network Power will be displaying the Pentadyne VSS+ DC , which they market as the Liebert FS, in their exhibit booth # 401.

Pentadyne-Manufactured Liebert FS System Named a Backup Power Product of the Year by SearchDataCenter.com

Chatsworth , Calif. - March 12, 2007 - The Liebert FS flywheel system, manufactured by Pentadyne Power Corporation ( www.pentadyne.com ), the world's leading commercial manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using advanced composite flywheel technology, has been named a Backup Power Product of the Year 2006 by SearchDataCenter.com , a leading information technology industry website.

Pentadyne is the original equipment manufacturer of the Liebert FS, which is marketed by Emerson Network Power ( www.emersonnetworkpower.com ).

In making their choices for Products of the Year 2006, SearchDataCenter.com Editor Matt Stansberry said "Businesses are focusing on energy efficiency in the data center; the latest bells and whistles won't win an award if it doesn't solve real-world problems."

"Reliably solving real-world power problems in an energy efficient manner is exactly what our flywheel product is all about," said Pentadyne President & CEO Mark McGough. "The Liebert FS is ten times more energy efficient than low-speed, steel flywheels on the market. Emerson Network Power is one of the world's leading manufacturers of UPS systems. Their reputation is built on the rock-solid reliability of the products they sell. And that's why they chose to market our high-speed, carbon-fiber flywheel product under their world-renowned brand."

Emphasizing both the economic and environmental benefits of the Pentadyne/Liebert flywheel product, Pentadyne Senior Vice President of Sales & Service Frank DeLattre, said, "Compared to a low-speed, steel flywheel, our system saves more than 20 megawatt-hours per year of otherwise wasted energy. Each Pentadyne/Liebert flywheel deployed saves a data center thousands of dollars per year in added utility costs. Being so much more energy efficient translates into a reduction in utility power plant generation and CO 2 greenhouse gas emissions amounting to 30,000 pounds per year per Pentadyne/Liebert flywheel deployed."

The Pentadyne/Liebert flywheel system can supplement or replace lead-acid battery arrays used with uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. Chemical battery plants require extensive, costly and lengthy permitting, testing and monitoring processes because of their corrosive materials, fire dangers, hazardous fluids and explosive gas emissions. Batteries are commonly acknowledged as the weakest reliability link in a UPS system, demanding frequent and costly maintenance and replacement. The Pentadyne/Liebert flywheel system is a more reliable method of energy storage that is far less costly to operate than a 5-minute string of VRLA batteries.

Exhibiting at upcoming trade show

Emerson Network Power will be displaying the Liebert FS in their exhibit booth at the AFCOM Data Center World Conference ( www.datacenterworld.com ) in Las Vegas March 27 and 28.

Chatsworth, Calif. - Jan. 29, 2007 - Addressing select attendees at the World Economic Forum ( www.weforum.org ) in Davos, Switzerland, Mark McGough, President and CEO of Pentadyne Power Corporation ( www.pentadyne.com ), the world's leading commercial manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using advanced composite flywheel technology, thanked the World Economic Forum (WEF) for designating Pentadyne as a 2007 Technology Pioneer.

The WEF is a non-profit foundation incorporated in 1971 and funded by the world's foremost corporations to further economic growth and social progress. WEF has non-governmental organization consultative status with the United Nations' Economic and Social Council.

The WEF Technology Pioneers are companies identified by the Forum as developing and applying highly transformational and innovative technologies in the areas of energy, biotechnology, health and information technology. The 2007 Technology Pioneers - recognized in recent issues of Time and Red Herring magazines - are selected by a panel of leading technology experts appointed by the WEF to recognize innovations that have the potential for a long-term positive impact on business and society.

In his address McGough said, "Highly reliable 7x24 backup power systems are used by a diverse range of businesses needing continuous power, including large data centers, financial institutions, hospitals, broadcast facilities and military sites around the world.

" The number one problem with traditional UPS systems is the reliability of the lead-acid battery systems used for energy storage. The primary reason a UPS system is purchased is for reliable backup power, and batteries are notorious for being 't he weakest link.'

"Secondly, users complain about the frequent replacement costs and increasingly difficult disposal requirements associated with dumping the massive amounts of lead and acid contained in batteries.

"Pentadyne makes clean energy storage systems that keep businesses online far more reliably than UPS batteries, doing so with less environmental impact and at a lower lifetime cost.

"The environmental benefit is significant: over the course of its 20-year design life, one of our flywheels will save the en vironment from more than 15,000 pounds of lead disposal. For the same period, the energy saving of one Pentadyne system - which is nearly ten times more energy efficient than its nearest competitor - is enough to power more than 10,000 average homes for a year.

"The energy efficiency and near zero hardware maintenance requirements of the Pentadyne clean energy system can save an institution four to eight times its cost over the life of the system.

"Last year, we introduced a completely enhanced product that delivers 50% more power capacity with no increase in footprint, weight or price to the end user. Six months after that introduction, we had booked more than $8 million in new orders. With reduced cost of goods, this new product is gross margin positive. And that's nearly unheard of in our sector.

"In a separate development last year, we worked with Sun Microsystems, HP, IBM and other industry giants in a test project with the US Department of Energy's Berkeley Lab that proved powering data centers with DC current, as opposed to today's DC/AC/DC architecture, can cut energy waste and power bills at data centers around the world by 20% or more," McGough said.

He concluded by saying, "Thank you for recognizing Pentadyne Power Corporation as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer."
